DESCRIPTION:Butterfly Tongue\, is an original theatre piece\, written by Owen Sound’s poet laureate emeritus\, Richard-Yves Sitoski. The event also showcases the talents of emerging musician Shjaane Glover and will raise awareness and funds for Collingwood’s women’s’ shelter\, My Friends House. \n								\n				\n					\n		\n					\n		\n				\n						\n					\n			\n						\n				\n																														\n				\n				\n				\n									\n					\n						\n						\n							\n									Tickets\n					\n					\n				\n								\n				\n					\n		\n				\n			\n						\n				\n									Butterfly Tongue  Written and performed by Owen Sound’s poet laureate emeritus\, Richard-Yves Sitoski\, Butterfly Tongue tells the story of a small town foundry worker’s chance meeting with a woman at a bus shelter; a meeting that blows his world wide open\, fuelling his life with hope and love. The woman at the bus shelter\, Susan\, is homeless and struggles with addiction. She is fearless yet vulnerable and her impact on the main character is immense. Raising awareness of vulnerable women who face domestic violence and struggle with mental health challenges is a central goal of the event.
